Introduction to VEC Vietnam Exposition Center

Trung tâm triển lãm quốc gia VEC

Dong Anh National Exhibition Fair Center, also known as VEC Vietnam Exposition Center located at the Northeast gateway of Hanoi, is one of the most modern and large-scale exhibition facilities in Southeast Asia. With its unique design, advanced facilities, and strategic location, the new national exhibition center not only organizes international events but also offers golden opportunities for businesses to promote their brands through professional booths. In this article, Gia Long will provide detailed information about the new national exhibition center, from facilities to important regulations, helping businesses optimize the effectiveness of their event participation.

Overview of VEC Vietnam Exposition Center

The VEC – Vietnam Exposition Center, a strategic project invested by Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Center Joint Stock Company (VEFAC), a subsidiary of Vingroup, will officially open on August 19, 2025. Aimed at replacing the old Giang Vo Exhibition Center, this project is expected to elevate Vietnam’s position on the international economic and cultural map.

The Vietnam Exposition Center is designed with inspiration from the Golden Turtle, a symbol of Vietnamese culture, with a main dome 56m high and 360m in diameter representing the turtle’s head, and eight auxiliary domes representing its legs. Combined with the image of a lotus flower, the national exhibition center not only boasts high aesthetic value but also applies green technologies such as photovoltaic materials, smart glass, and translucent green roofing.

Address of Vietnam Exposition Center (VEC)

Located in Dong Hoi Commune, Dong Anh District, Hanoi City, it’s only 15 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport and 30 minutes from the city center.

The operation of the national exhibition center is not only a milestone in infrastructure but also a hub for large-scale national and international events. The first programs held here have demonstrated the capacity to provide modern exhibition space and the strong commercial appeal of this mega-exhibition project.

  • National Achievements Exhibition (August 28 – September 15, 2025): This is the most symbolic political and economic event taking place immediately after the inauguration of phase 1. The exhibition attracted more than 150,000 visitors, showcasing groundbreaking models in technology and infrastructure.
  • The first Autumn Fair (October 25 – November 4, 2025): This large-scale trade event brought together more than 2,000 domestic and international businesses, utilizing the entire 170,000 m2 indoor space of the National Exhibition Center. With a total trade transaction value reaching US$450 million at the fair, the program set a new record for signed sales in the Northern exhibition industry, affirming the center’s role as a vital trade bridge.
  • The first Spring Fair (February 2-13, 2026): Held during the Lunar New Year holiday, the fair created a shopping frenzy with a record-breaking visitor turnout of over 40,000 people per day. Utilizing VEC’s 15-hectare parking infrastructure, the organizers smoothly managed thousands of private vehicles, helping consumer businesses reach a huge customer base and achieve a 35% increase in revenue compared to previous traditional spring fairs.
  • V Concert: Beyond commercial activities, VEC has demonstrated its capacity to organize massive entertainment events through the V Concert program, which can accommodate over 30,000 spectators. How to rent a booth at the VEC Vietnam Exposition Center

To rent a booth at the VEC Vietnam Exposition Center, businesses need to follow strict procedures and comply with the regulations of the management board to ensure effective and professional event organization.

Construction registration process

Before construction, the enterprise must submit a registration application at least 3 days in advance, including: authorization letter for the contractor, construction permit, commitment to comply with regulations, contractor information, and approved design drawings (including concept, structure, electromechanical, Fire Prevention and Fighting). After approval, the company pays a deposit, registers workers, and receives an access card. Workers must wear the card while working, and violations will be handled. After construction, the management board inspects the site, cancels the card, and returns the deposit (minus the violation fee, if any).

Design and construction requirements

Booth design must comply with the maximum height of 5m (Hall 1-8, Hall TT) or 4m (Main Hall, Building A), use B1 fireproof materials, tempered glass (minimum thickness of 8mm for areas over 2m²), and prohibit flammable fabrics. Booths that are more than 75% sealed must have 2 exits at least 5m apart. Enterprises are not allowed to occupy common walkways or fire protection corridors. The Management Board supervises the entire process and has the right to request repairs, fines, or demolition if there are violations.
